Your life is just a "__ " Dash

The last time I visited a cemetery was during the death of a friend of mine. It gives me a sad feeling when ever I visit a cemetery. People crying for the loss of dear ones; Painful Memories; Sullen Nostalgic feelings- These are some of the thoughts that flash across my mind when I think about Burial Grounds. One important feature in a cemetery is the "Head Stone".

If we carefully analyze the Head stone, we see a few things conveyed through it.

1) Name of the Person
2) Birthdate
3) Deathdate.

We would also see a Biblical verse on the headstone. But have you ever realised the value that is given to your life on earth in the Head Stone? If you see the space between the birthdate and the deathdate, you can see a small "-".  Yes! Just a single DASH that encompasses your entire 80 years on earth.

Even if you had been a World Famous Preache or even If you are a VIP on earth, when you are gone, your head stone will just have a DASH to explain your life on earth. People might be talking about you even after your death. Your autobiography might also be released by people. They would be just opinions about you. They are all Vanity and they will all pass away.

If you have come to the saving Grace of Jesus, you would know that there is eternal life after the DASH period on earth. Where do you want to spend your eternity, my dear Beloved?

1.In Happiness and Glory, in Heaven?
or
2. In Agony and Pain, in Hell?

Your Life might just be a DASH on this earth. But the way you live your life on earth will decide whether you are gonna spend eternity in Heaven or Rot eternally in Hell.

If you haven't given your life to Jesus yet, It is time that you surrendered to him and accepted him as your personal Lord and savior. You might have been a drunkard, an adulteror and you might think that there is no hope for you. But just remember that, you have a Savior who accepts you when you run to him with a broken and a contrite heart. He is always waiting for you with extended arms. Human beings would remember all our past sins and they would remind us of our past and make us feel guilty. But Jesus Forgives your Sins and He Forgets your sins too and He will also Save you from Sinning.
